Assuming you'll have 3G, you'll want Mobbler, Slick IM, Handy Taskman/Jbak Taskman, Jaiku Mobile. Road trip, you say? Either Qik or Kyte is a must, as well.
@rcadden Yah you're right about vine but wanted to check out Sports Tracker too. I'm hoping vine will be good enough to track the whole trip. Doing a test run tomorrow to see how it'll work with days of driving, walking, etc.
